    Default Eastern Veil Nebula

First time posting a picture. This was taken with a 102 mm Flourite Apochromatic Vixen refractor with a 0.8 focal reducer. The mount is an EQ6 R Skywatcher mount. The camera is an unmodded Canon T3i 600D. The image was taken over 2 nights and is 70 x 300s at ISO 800. I am still working on getting colors the way I like them. Please be gentle, lol!

    Welcome to the Forum, tomk.

    That's an excellent start.

I've been thinking about getting a SW EQR6 myself one of these days. Looks like a good mount for AP.

The EQ6R is a fantastic mount. I took 70 5 minute images for the image above and did not lose one sub. I very seldom lose a sub due to mount problems. The vast majority of lost subs is due to wind gust or clouds. My other scope is an 8 inch Celestron SCT (deforked Ultima 2000). Both scopes have Moonlite focusers. The EQ6R carries the SCT with no problem at all. I do guide both scopes with an Orion 55 mm guide scope and QHY5 camera. The mount is on a pier.

The EQ6r is a fantastic mount. I took 70 5 minute subs for the image above and did not lose one. Normally, all subs are good and the only ones that are rejected are from gusts of wind or clouds. My other scope is an 8 inch Celestron SCT (deforked Ultima 2000). Both scopes have moonlight focusers. The mount carries both with no problem. I have the mount on a pier and both are guided with an Orion 55 mm guide scope and QHY5LII camera.
