Frankly I did not spend a whole lot of time on these .avi's I tried sharpening a little more but then the bayer matrix starts to show at these small resolution. So that was about as sharp as I could get it.

Yea I probably could do better but you know what they say about garbage in garbage out.

Oh ... what the heck is ADC ?

an adc (atmospheric dispersion correction) is like a prism that re aligns the rgb image (photons) back to the same focal location, the earths atmosphere bends the red/green/blue alignment at medium or low altitude.

without an adc it is best to image when your planet/object is at zenith ie high up in the sky,and even then i use an adc to fine tune the atmospheric dispersion.

you should see fringing in images without it at a low angle ie the edges of an image of jupiter where the colour channels/data are pulled away from eachother,

an adc can help achieve sharper details when used correctly.it is very fiddle to fine tune, fire capture has a built in program to help you tune the dispersion ,highly recommend one ,also can be used visually too.

edit: a note camera into barlow and then barlow into the adc ,adc into the focuser, the setup i would recommend.

Oh okay I see thanks! I have heard of these.

But I think I will pass, all I need is another 'gadget' besides Planetary imaging is kind of a sidebar distraction for me while waiting on real clear skys for DSO sequences.
