Question Skywatcher Star Adventurer - no ball head

    Hey,

So I've bought the Skywatcher star adventurer Astronomy bundle and it doesn't include a ball head. I have read the manual and based on my understanding, then the polar scope has to constantly point at Polaris. And if that's the case, then how do I rotate my camera if I can't change the angels?

Sorry for my stupid question, hope you understand my question

    - Rasmus

Looks like you're going to have to buy a ball head.

With the L-bracket and counterweight you should be able to set the camera to point to any angle.
Attach the camera to the 'L' end and release both clutches. You should then be able to swing the camera to any point of the sky.

It may be a case of swinging the camera over to an 'unexpected' angle, but once pointed in a direction, the head should keep it tracked.

Thanks for your answer. I can see it's possible to point the camera, but the angle of the camera is just completly off.

Yes, there is that, you can point in any direction, but the orientation may not suit your camera frame. A ball-head will be needed for that.

New ball heads can be found in abundance on Ebay or Amazon. $40 will get you something adequate for a 4-6 lb load.
