Default First light LRGB & Narrowband

    Well,

I got some clear sky (sort of) and gave my new Explore Scientific ED80CF a run through. I'm still getting the field flattener dialed in so the stars were a little honked up on the edges. Also I was waiting on parts for my DIY motor focuser so I had to manually focus and didn't make any corrections during the captures. With all that said....

I love the wider field of view!

1st image is of Orion (naturally...) LRGB image

    Very nice Gordon.
Could you tell me how everything was mounted on this telescope, and with what spacers if any etc etc? I have this telescope in white and the more AP I see the closer I am getting to the edge of the rabbit hole. :-)
    Thank you.

The spacing will vary depending on what camera you are using (different dimensions from the sensor forward). I'm using a ZWO ASI1600mm-c camera and so far I have the two spacers that came with the scope (this was required to get enough back focus for the camera) I'm using the Explore Scientific Field Flattener https://optcorp.com/products/explore...SABEgJuIvD_BwE
Everything I could find said to space the flattener ~45mm from the camera sensor to the flattener lens, however I have found (at least with the ZWO camera) that 55mm seems to work better. (I'm still dialing it in but the 55mm is really close.)

I'm using the adapter from Scopestuff to mount my Orion 50mm finderscope (which I modified and use as a guider). ScopeStuff
    Hope that helps.
