    Default re-pro on Orion panoramic

    Orion wide-field with 55mm lens on Fuji X-A1 ** 41x120s subs with darks-bias-flats

I posted this on the AP forum and someone said it doesn't look quite right. I was using DSS & StarTools.

    Orion neb2 17NOV17 41x120s F32 Tok jhz ST comp.jpg

I had to agree it was not properly processed.

The following image is the basic one (after getting rid of artifacts & LP and "developing" or stretching):

    Orion neb2 17NOV17 41x120s F32 Tok jhz.jpg

The stars seem to overwhelm everything and the nebula is barely visibe.

So I worked on it and got this:

    Orion neb2 17NOV17 41x120s F32 Tok jhz ST final.jpg

Not sure exactly how to "tame" all those stars. But I think this is about as good as I can get it.

    Clears,
    Joe
