    Default Finished - Six Panel Mosaic in SHO



    Greetings. Well at long last I have "finished" my six panel mosaic of the North American and Pelican Nebulas using the Hubble Palette (SHO). I may add some RGB to the mix but honestly I think I have spent enough time here for now and other targets await. Thanks to all of you that have been following since July and thanks also to anyone else if you are looking for the first time.

    Imaged over multiple nights in Jul, Aug, and Sep 17
    ES 102ED with 0.8 FF/FR atop a CEM60 and Atik 383L+ (-10C)
    Captured with SGP
    Each panel consist of:
    Sii: 12x600 secs Bin 2x2 > Red
    Ha: 6x600 secs Bin 1x1 > Green and also Luminance
    Oiii: 12x600 secs Bin 2x2 > Blue
    30 hours total
    DSS
    Star Tools
    PS
    Microsoft ICE
    Noiseware

    CEM60 Mount, EQ5 Synscan, ES 102ED Triplet with SV .80 FF/FR & Motorized MoonLite Focuser, Mallincam VRC-8 Ritchey-Chrétien with CCDT67, Orion ED80 with .85 FF/FR, Atik 383L+ Mono with EFW2 Filter Wheel, Baader 36 mm NB and LRGB Filters, ZWO ASI120MC, Canon Rebel T3, Canon 450D, Orion SSAG, SkyMaster 15X70 Binos, Meade DSI 2 Colour CCD, RV-6 Dynascope, a very understanding and loving wife, and a Roll Off Roof Observatory.

    Thanks JT, you are too kind. As far as PI is concerned, I have thought about downloading the trial but that is as far as it got. I won my version of Star Tools a few years ago right here in one of the challenge contest and have yet to fully utilize all its features. I am not sure if I want to learn any new software but PI is tempting!
