    Default Comet C/2015 V2 Johnson

I was finally able to get outside with a clear sky and capture comet Johnson. Of course, my lightbox is still inoperable so I couldn't get any flats, hence the evidence of gradients. But all in all I think it came out rather well.

This was 50x120sec at -20C with QHY10 on a Hyperstar EdgeHD11; 20 darks; 100 bias; 0 flats. Processed in PI and PSP. I cropped the image a bit as well. Captured on May 15, 2017.

Thanks all. I've missed the earlier comets because of weather, work, and health. Now if only I can get this light box fixed .

    Nice capture and process.

The capture was nearly 2 hours. Your stars are not streaked and the image is a very pleasing presentation. I presume you processed star field and comet separately and re-merged to a single image? Did you track on the comet? Or straight sidereal tracking?

You are correct; I used the process described in Warren Keller's "Inside PixInsight" to process the image - using CometAlignnment. Used straight sidereal tracking.
    Thanks for the comment.
