Congratulations on nabbing those last two objects and finally earning your S40 award, Steve. It was an honor following along every step of your journey, and I admire the perseverance and dedication it took to locate and document each of those targets. Especially the ones so small and faint they're difficult picking out of the test shots.

...Sorry for the belated congratulations. I tried on the 8th when you first completed your award, but my poor dial-up connection wouldn't allow it.

Congratulations on nabbing those 40 objects.

Difficult for you up there in the northern climbs.

    Enjoyed your images!

I admire your tenacity in continuing to dig low down in the murk, often hunting down dim targets, shows what can be done with the S40 awards even from the more Northern latitudes.

While the Messier awards have all the "flashy" and bright showpieces, the S awards have their own gems and then some that will require effort and possibly darker skies!
As Joe says, we steered clear of all the Messiers so as not have any overlaps.
Once again, congratulations on a fine job!
Thanks Clinton - Having so many tough targets makes this award all the more precious!

Thanks - Several of these targets were so dim that I wasn't sure I had them until after I stacked and combined all the images. After my initial alignments are complete I just trust that the target will be in the center of the FOV when using my GOTO mount. So far, it has always worked.

Thanks Scott - There are only about 6 or 7 more of the S110 targets that are observable from my location, so, no S80 for me. I have to admit it will be nice to go after a target that is high enough in the sky that the atmospheric refraction doesn't mess with the guiding and smear out the stars.
