Default Sun Ha March 1st 2017

As my Granny would say, "Pickens have been pretty bad." It seems like every solar-head in the world is having clouds. I got lucky this morning around 1100 hrs to catch this one... 45o above the horizon.

Sun has been really quiet anyway, but I'm expecting some good prom action when sunspot AR2638 makes around the west limb in a couple of days. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Very nice, John. Might be slim pickens, but you picked a nice ripe one.

Naw. I can't remember the exact size, but it's like 1250 x 980, or something close. It's the same size I shoot all the time, and I just open a pre-loaded cam scene that I like and never even look anymore.

I just crop the prom disk to fit... usually about 900 x 900 unless I want to show some glow around the sun... then I'll crop it a little bigger. Kinda/sorta depends on what I'm trying to show. 900 x 900 is a good size for the Solar Group's full sized images.

Thank you. I remember you saying something about 960x960 or 900x900 and thought that maybe you shot at that.

I do like not having to think about different sizes...
