    Default Another Horsehead

Its been a while since I've posted an image as the cloud gods have been a bit harsh over the last couple of months, also the classic winter targets are only available to me for a couple of hours a night so it's taken a while to collect enough data as I generally like roughly 20 subs per image.

Anyway here is a classic image of the Horsehead and Flame Nebula, it consists of 19 480sec subs shot with my 8" Astrograph and processed through PixInsight.

    Many thanks for looking.

I like the framing and the dramatic spikes. I'm not usually a fan of the spikes, but, they enhance this one a lot.

Thanks John, I'm also in the not sure camp re:spikes, but I find there impossible to remove from the really bright stars so was interested the other day in a post that talked about "a curved vain spider" for the secondary that seems to be able to reduce them.
    Thanks George
