Caught some data on this set in the wee hours of the morning.
Data is still incomplete in that the blue channel is still missing and green is incomplete. But there is not a lot of color here anyhow

Yea I know but I cant remember how I did that oneOh, and one last thing...the water mark needs updating
Maybe I will fix it tonight. No imaging too much moon. Working on the dark library instead.
Yea has been a good couple of nights in spite of the moon. I tried some on M78 last night and it was hopeless. It eve swamped the guide cam. So I set the sequence to start on the triplet around 2:00 am but now the moon is getting in that region too so it will be a couple of days.
Of course by then it will be cloudy again![]()

That is a nice start. You can use the green you have to create a synthetic blue channel. Load the channels into Star Tools R, G, and G again for the blue. Cap the green and then adjust accordingly in the colour module. I have used this method a few times and you may be surprised at what you get.

That is exactly what I did. But like I said there is not a whole lot of color in this region. I still want the full set but the moon is going to put it off for a couple of days.

Very well done and great start. I won't image with a nearly full moon around unless I can point about 60 degrees or more away from the old polluter.

Thanks at the time most of these frames were shot the moon was well off the region. The sequence dident even start till 2:00 am. But now that's not the case. Probably at least 3 or 4 days before I can finish it.
In the meantime I went back and played with the data a little was able to wring out some color although its not 'great' had to really saturate things. Hopefully it will be better with a coherent data set.
Oh and got the watermark updated too

I'm liking it Tom!I have been waiting a long time to try this. I don't know how it will turn out with an unmodded DSLR though.
I just can't buy a clear sky to try it!! grrrrr
