    __________________________________________________ ________

Each of these will be automatically entered into the 4th Quarter 2015 Astronomyforum.net International Astrophotography Contest for the grand prize!

Special thanks to the AF.net moderator team for taking the time to go through each image for the month of November to make the selection. Our members make this task extremely difficult!

Thanks to all our very accomplished AP'ers. We had a lot of fantastic images to pick from.

If you want to participate it's pretty simple!

Here's a link to the contest rules: New Astrophotography Contest!!!!!

*Honorable mention is just that, honorably mentioned. Images chosen to appear in this category are not entered in the quarterly contests as an honorable mention selection.

    on a side note:

We are getting lot's of images posted in the DSO category! (Great images!!!) along with the Nightscape, and Lunar categories.

However the Solar System and Solar categories are only getting one or two photos posted during the entire month!!! So we are asking for our APer's that love Solar and Solar System AP to step up and post some of your best photos!!!

A big congratulations to Tom, Marius, Keith, Pete, Terry, and Phil!

There were so many wonderful and excellent DSO images for November that it was quite the challenge with choosing one. At least for myself, lots of second guessing, changing my mind, flipping back and forth, and so on. Seemed like everytime I clicked on the next thread, that image was better than the last. So hard to choose!

I am continuously in awe of the skill and passion of our AP'ers. My hat is off to all of you!

Thanks for the honorable mention. That photo was pure luck and no skill. It did inspire me though. My CGEM came in the mail today. My 80mm short-tube spotting scope is on its rings. A few more odds and ends and I hope to be building some skill here very shortly.

Oh yeah a CGEM and a Telescope coming in the mail in the same week!! Guess what the weather looks like!

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space. ― Douglas Adams
