Great image! I viewed Catalina visually yesterday morning at 0540 local time with 10x50 binoculars, but in my moderately light polluted sky no tail(s) were visible. Your image really enhances what I saw.

Thank you all! Its not visible naked eye, and very difficult here through binos. A saving point is that it photographs well. Unfortunately its going behind a tree tomorrow so I will ave to re-position. If I can do that right, I hope to get a longer exposure. Which is better, long exposure time or more subs?

Well there is hope for tomorrow morning. My scope is packed, batteries charged, alarm set 3am. I'm heading to a darker area close to my home. Not only do I want to image Catalina, I want some shots of the crescent moon. Yesterday would have been the preferred time but it was raining. Oh I'm hoping for clear sky !
