Default Messier 110 Award - The Final Countdown

Six months ago the idea that I would be starting a thread to complete my quest to have imaged the 110 objects in the Messier catalogue was laughable. Many who congratulated me on my Messier 40 award were encouraging onward too. I stand in awe of the amazing universe that we live in and can only say thank you to so many of you who have inspired me over the last two years.

As of today, I've imaged 103 of the Messier objects with 90 uploaded and another 13 that I've collected data on that must still be developed.

In honor of the Eagle's Nest, where I do most of my imaging from, I decided to lead off with a re-take of the Eagle (M16) taken 8/5/15.

This was shot just as it was settling over the house 8/7/15 in less than 5 minutes. This is an integration of 3 x 45s subs; I had to discard two of the subs.

I included a plate-solve of this frame to demonstrate what it was I was looking at.

    No. 91 globular cluster, (M70)
This photo was beginning to experience some extinction in the lower left corner presumably as the cluster sunk below the roof line. I included a plate-solve for this one too for that reason. With a Declination of -32 degrees, there is significant color extinction as well, which makes the color balance interesting.
