Default 4th of April - Quark Chromosphere + Esprit 120

Today there is not much prominence activity. The one from yesterday has gotten much smaller and fainter.

Seeing conditions this morning were quite terrible, could not get any good focus. So again, lot of frames had to be discarded.

SW Esprit 120 + Quark Chromosphere + TS 0.5 reducer + QHY5L-IIc . Stacked in Autostakkert and processed in Photoshop.

First, the remainder of yesterday's prominence.

On the surface, there were some fantastic filaments visible, from which I recorded this one (same snake as yesterday ). Inverted filter applied.

A new sunspot is emerging, showing some activity. AR 2318. Also here, inverted filter applied.

Scope(s): SkyWatcher Esprit 120ED Pro \\ Mount: SkyWatcher N-EQ6 Pro SynScan
    Camera(s): QHY5L-IIc \\ Eye Pieces: TeleVue Panoptic 27mm, TS UWA 8mm
Solar: Baader Hershel Wedge, DayStar Quark Chromosphere (incoming)

    Thanks for posting these images.

I really like the Earth to scale in your images, makes one realize just how huge these objects are.

    Cheers

Thanks everyone! Weather forecast is changing, so might not be able to image for a while.

Tho, I have been very Lucky with the weather past week. So can't complain really. Just wish for better (more stable) seeing conditions, to get better image quality.

Hi again Guillermo. A set of solar images in Ha light. Your "snake" filament capture is superb, and you have a very nice closeup of the newcomer AR 2318. Thanks for sharing more of your fine work with us Guillermo, and best wishes for clear skies.
