Default First attempt at M27 Dumbbell Nebula

I recently decided to try imaging M27, thought I'd share the results:

I took a total of 345 6" subs, but only 185 of them were used by DeepSkyStacker, so the image has a total integration time of 18m30s which is half of what I wanted. Now that I think about it, I might try to reprocess it, and see if I can't get DSS to use more than 50% of the frames. I also used 30 dark frames, 22 flat frames, and 10 bias frames.

Anyway I'm curious to what you think, and always open to feedback or suggestions... I'm still relatively new to DSO imaging.

    Hi,
Not a bad first try, but something didn't come out right. What are you using for a scope & camera?

Actually you did remarkably well for 6sec subs with an F10 scope! What ISO did you use, and did you shoot raw or jpeg?

Nice image, and you did this through a Nexstar 6SE?! It's nice to see this, since I'm getting one myself here in a day or two! Very good, thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work!

You captured a nice image - nice round stars - good tracking.

The fine detail in the center of the nebula is unique - you don't often see that in my or other's photos of M27.

I agree with the others, try upping your exposure times.
