Default M8 Lagoon Nebula & M20 Trifid Nebula

I didn't get a lot of imaging time on these 2 last night since I have a very short window between trees. So given that I was only able to get 35 minutes of real time after centering and all that good stuff. This image consists of 7x300 second exposures with a small amount of darks, bias and flats. Scope: Stellarvue SV80ED, Camera: Canon 450d modified, Guiding: PHD2 & ZWO120MC

This one's a bit less saturated

I really like your 2nd image. I reckon your next astrophotography investment would be a chainsaw for those trees!

Thank you! After posting I thought the first was a little red so I toned it down some.

As for those pesky trees, that might land me in hot water lol. The belong to a neighbor or they'd already be gone.

It needs more time but I think it turned out pretty well considering the short time.

Very nice Chris! I cut down 12 trees on my property this spring ... But this target is still one that I can't reach easily. But I will try!

    Well done,

Chris, Those are lovely photos. Just seeing those is making me itch to get out late night and take some of my own.
