Default I created a small video of Io transiting the surface of Jupiter

Hey all. A couple weeks ago I noticed on my Jupiter moon app that there would be a Io transit across Jupiter's surface complete with an appearance of the Great Red Spot. It was around -20c that night so I set up my gear right outside my back door feeding the cables into my kitchen so I wouldn't freeze. Jupiter was high in the sky at the time and I think my furnace was venting exhaust across my imaging path so the images didn't turn out as clear as they could have been. All in all I captured 36 separate 1 min Avi videos with my Asi120mc camera mounted on a Skywatcher 190 Mak Newt. Hours of processing later I've created a short video of my captures showing Io's complete transit across Jupiter. I'm still steep on the planetary imaging curve so this is not as impressive as some of the Jupiter images being posted around the forum but I think the video turned out pretty sweet. Thanks for taking a look.

Very nice. I love the detail in the clouds that the movie brings out. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoyed watching that - nicely done. Only wish the video had been a few seconds longer.

My roof actually got in the way of me capturing the last bit of the shadow leaving the planet. Next time!

Hi Jay. This is a great video presentation of Jupiter and Io's transit. I love the way the equatorial belts change shape as they rotate by the field of view, and the GRS shows up well too. You and your SkyWatcher 190 Mak-Newt and ASI120MC camera did an excellent job on this, so thanks for sharing this great animation with us.

Wonderful detail and great focus. Did you stack those for any individual pics? I would think they would come out fantastic.
