Default IC5146 with moonlight and light pollution

    Hi,

My latest effort is IC5146 or Caldwell 19 is always a fun target and this one came out ok despite the Moon and lots of light pollution here between Chicago and Rockford.

The attached image is a compilation of:

    6, 600 second luminescent
    6, 600 second red
    6, 600 second green
    6, 600 second blue
    8, 600 second dark frames

All stacked, combined and processed in CCD Stack with a little touchup in Photoshop Elements.

Camera: SBIG ST8300M with CFW5 and Baader LRGB filters CCDSoft

Capture Scope: Astro Tech AT65EDQ piggybacked on an 10" LX200 and guided using PHD through the 10".

Actually, I'm pretty happy with it but and suggestions or comments are always welcome.

    Thanks for looking.

    Dave

Hi Dave. A very nice Cocoon Nebula image from you. Beautiful red emission nebulosity surrounded by the blue reflection nebulosity. And, Barnard's Dark Nebula B168 is also well defined in your capture. Thanks for taking the time to put this up on here, and best wishes on your next astrophotography endeavor.

Thanks for the compliment, actually it was more a picture of B168 than the Cocoon nebula.
