    Default Star Trails

This was my first try at star tails. I used a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 wide angle and Canon 60Da. Each exposure was 30 sec. f/2.8 ISO 400. 198 exposures combined with the Startrails software.

Nice range of colors to the Stars, and decent lack of orange LP near the horizon.
And the nearly horizontal trails indicate that this is shot toward the southern horizon.

Hi. I am located in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. I'm in a fairly rural area so have pretty good dark skies.

Nice image! I'm starting to really get into star trails and am seriously thinking about giving one a shot this weekend.

Hello Muttleib. A very nice swirl of stars in your first imaging attempt. Plus, there what looks like to be a satellite trail near the bottom center. Thanks for sharing this nice capture with us, and best wishes for clear skies.
