Default Out of All the Gin Joints In All the World

Out of all of the globular clusters, in all the sky, what are the odds that a commercial airline crosses EXACTLY across M3 while I'm shooting it?

Nice pic except for the aircraft lights. The tail light scored a direct hit.

Sometimes if it's not for bad luck there is no luck at all. Very nice image other then that.

The odds. Actually quite good. Last year I did a series of 20, 5 minute images and every one had a plane or satellite in it.

Yours hit "dead center" which is not that common.

The colors of the navigation lights is actually kind of interesting. Maybe I'll try to clean it up a bit.
Here's the results of the other 5 frames I shot of M3 last night. These are 10 minute subs at 800 ISO using an Astronomik CLS filter.

Sweet! Sucks to ruin a 10 min exposure, but what can you do.... The strobes actually lit the tail up just enough to catch a ghost of it. Here is another very similar post. Plane and satellite.
