    Default Wide field Eta.

    Hi,

I've been going through image files and came across data for an Eta wide field not processed.

I had to crop the final image, seemed to be some field rotation. happy with the way it's turned out for a kit lens.

    Equipment.

    HEQ pro 5 mount.
    Canon 1100D, 70 to 300 zoom at 80mm f/6.3.
    10 x 8 minute subs.
Stacked in DSS and processed in PS7.

    Cheers,

    Justin.

I just love those 'treasures from the attic' that get overlooked. Great widefield Justin, 80mm grabs a whole bunch of sky! Thanks for posting it up.

Note...while I was out imaging tonight, I saw the largest fireball I've ever seen in my lifetime cruise across my sky from NE to SW, splitting into flaming chunks along the way! Oh, what I would have given for a video camera at that moment..... Now that would have been better than your Eta...but not by much...lol.

    Best,

    Paul

No problem finding a guide star in this region.

    Best,

    Paul
    Thanks Paul!

Takes the breath away when you see a fire ball!
I witnessed a bolide in 1997 during a full moon, it was massive with a big bow fronted head and shock waves going through the tail.
It was handy that the moon was up as it gave me something to measure an approximate visual size, was just over .5 of degree's in size and extremely bright.

    Cheers,

    Justin.
