    Default Large Magellanic Cloud

I was in New Zealand for a school trip so I was able to shoot this guy. The skies down there are so clear.

I didn't have my tracking equipment so I threw my camera up on a regular tripod. Didn't have my bahtinov mask either so had to keep shooting till whenever I thought my stars were ok.

    That's worked out really well!

You picked up quite a lot of the LMC with very short exposures.

    Cheers,

    Justin.

Nice. I'm impressed by your resourcefulness in capturing such a nice image without your regular setup. Well done and thanks for sharing. A trip down south is definitely on my wish list.
