Default Running chicken nebula, IC 2944.

    Hi,

It was a lot cooler this morning, and with the cooler box for the camera I managed to get 2 hours and 8 minutes of data for IC 2944.

Quite pleased with the way it's turned out, considerably less noise than prevoius images.

    This image is cropped.

8" f/4 astrograph, orion mini guider, HEQ Pro 5 mount.

Unmodded canon 1100D baader coma corrector.

8 minute subs at iso 800, total 2 hours 8 minuts, darks frames, flats and bias frames applied.
Median stack in DSS, processed in PS 7.
    Cropped image.

    Cheers,

    Justin.

Thanks to all for the comments!

I agree about the chicken, I can't see it either.
Don't know where it came from but probably too much port wine on a cold night. This will usually bring out some wild and wonderful creatures in the night sky.

    Cheers,

    Justin.
