Default Another image of the Eclipse

This one shows a few prominences and detail of the edge of the moon. I think I got the focus right - which was my biggest worry. The only blur is due to the slight haze due to the low altitude (12 degrees).

Wow that's awesome! The shine around the edge of the moon, and the crater detail there is really cool. Thanks for sharing

    Wow !!
And this is with the TMB 92SS with a Solar Filter ?? Baader Solar Film ??

So, it seems that you were SUCCESSFUL at chasing a Hole in the Clouds... Did you need to resort to the Hinterlands of Northern Queensland ?? Or did the clouds part along the beachs of Cairns and Port Douglas ?? (Jealous in any case !!)

Thanks for posting these so quickly !!

(EDIT: OK, found other post that describes your mad dash inland... Still jealous!!)

Hello bfonseka Very nice shot. I can make out prominences just to the left of the top and bottom. Thanks for putting this up for the rest of us to enjoy. Kindest of regards,
    - Marshall

I went to the hinterlands to give myself a better chance, but the clouds parted very briefly around totality for the folks who were not so mobile. It is with the TMB 92ss and I used a Kendrick filter that uses Baader film (though this shot is unfiltered). The filter was removed at the diamond ring stage.
