    Default M101 Reprocess

With my PS skills getting better and better I'm going back and redoing some of my images. Here is M101 back from July which consist of 12 360" subs. ISO 800 from TAS dark site.

I can't wait to get a chance at imaging this again in a few months. Great shot! You've captured some good detail.

Excellent Jason, the image looks great, I'm looking forward to capturing that one too. In the meantime, during this cloudy mess, I've been retouching images too...especially the ones with the little 'cheerio' stars from DSS. The reprocessed images all look better because now I can stretch them more effectively and still leave plenty of headroom on the histograms. Here's one of the Pacman I just reprocessed about an hour ago:

    ngc281medianps_filtered (1280x835).jpg

The previous image was kind of washed out compared to the reprocess. Looks like you and I will be busy performing 'image triage' while it's cloudy.

    Best,

Excellent Paul. Its not cloudy here but the moon is flooding the sky with its own cheesy pollution. I have a few more redo's myself so expect more from me for sure.

Very nice image Jason. You pulled out great detail in arms of M101. And I particularly like the sombrerito in the lower right corner.
