Default North America Nebula on July 4th

Last Friday at our weekly star party I got my first view of NGC7000 through a 12 dob, thanks to Bob, Pet and Steve members of the Black Hills Astronomical Society. That set me out to do a mosaic image of NGC7000 in narrowband. And what better way to start the project, I thought, than on the eve of the 4th of July.

Here is the first capture, The Wall, of the series from last night.

    Happy Birthday America!

    Richard

    Everyone!
Kwalker the image was guided, "old school", manually using a NexGuide unplugged. I found it to be a lot quicker and much easier then the hassle of trying to get it to work all the time. This way I never miss a good night and do a PEC batch at the same time.
