    Default Orion nebula



    This is from my first time out with my Atik16ic-s on William Optic Megrez 90 Heq5 pier mount. No processing has been done other than dss and converting the fits file to png so I could upload it.

    20 x 30 secs unduided, no darks or flats

    Celestron CPC 800 XLT
    William Optics Megrez 90/ Zenithstar 70/ HEQ5pro
    Skywatcher Evostar 120/EQ5
    Teleview Nagler 9mm
    Teleview Panoptic 19mm
    Celestron E Lux 40mm and 25mm

    Great details on M42 and nice tight stars considering its unguided.

    Seems like the Atik is performing well, and is a great ccd for the price!

    Thanks for the kind words folks. There is probably lots more hidden detail in the picture but as I'm still on the sharp learning curve of actually getting and stacking the images in the first place, further processing will have to take a back seat for a while.
