Smile Lunar Crescent 6th Jan 11

    Hi all,

Astronomy has been a wee bit thin on the ground here recently..... finally this afternoon the clouds cleared! Yippee! This shot is a mosiac of 3 images taken with my canon 550D, hyperion zoom and 8" dob.

    This is a larger version.

I wondered if you would be out getting her. Saw her as I drove into Glasgow , looked stunning. Gone by the time I got back an hour later, she was going to bed !

Great shot, gotta love them crescents.

    Hi Carol,

Glad to see you out and shooting! That's about as thin a crescent as one can reasonably expect to catch...nice job.
