Smile Lunar images from last night

I braved the cold last night and took these shots of the area round Mare Crisium. Both images are from movies taken with the Canon 550D and stacked in registax. I'm not that great at processing in registax so I'm making a real effort to learn how to use it

    Hi Carol,

Nicely done! I am following your 550D imaging and processing with great interest. At some point you will have to tell us the steps you are using Please keep the images coming, we are having atrocious seeing in our neighborhood now (and for the last couple of weeks )

    Thanks Brian,

Now that I've started to get used to registax I've almost stopped taking single lunar images and concentrated on movies for stacking. It's the only way I'll learn! lol

Sorry to hear about your terrible weather, hang in there it will clear soon! Btw, I did get the chance to observe Jupiter last night and noticed how much seeing has deteriorated, the images I took were not great.... it's now lower in the sky! The moons did look pretty as three of them formed a triangle and I'm sure I got Jupiter and its moons and Uranus in the same field of view. Will have to check that one out in Stellarium.

Anyhow Brian, what would you like to know about the steps I'm using? Do you mean the settings in registax?

    Hope your skies clear soon,

    All the best
