I would really love some technical details on this one. What kind of camera and lens? Length of exposures, etc..

I've been trying to do some wide field images to no avail. I can't seem to get a clean focus on the stars (t2i and canon 50mm) and if I expose for more than 4 seconds or so I get a nasty orange haze to my shot (probably from nearby city lights).

I tried doing 20-30 1 second shots and stacking them, but still not very good.

Attached is the best shot I've gotten so far. You can clearly see the orange "haze" and obviously my focus is way off, but this was the closest I could get it (making extremely tiny focus adjustments by hand)
