    Default Moon in Colour

Last one , I promise ,lol.

Wish I had taken more than the two subs of the Moon at prime with the newt', this could have been so much better with a stack.

Anyhoo, tis one sub of the Moon ( in raw ) processed so as to show the colour , minerals reflect the light at different wavelengths, thus producing colour that the camera chip picks up, our eyes are not sensitive enough to see it properly ( most times ) we see it as more or less white light . Not me best but hey ho, tis been a while since I have done this .

It's a really beautiful picture, Pete! I really enjoy it.
The colors in it are not from minerals, though - it's rather optical effects of your optics due to camera's difficulties with white balance and light interference. With sort of exposure we use to photograph the Moon - it's not too different from seeing it with an eye. And no one has seen the colors while observing. I photographed the Moon and had it pink, brownish, yellowish and bluish - all with the same camera.
Thanks for sharing your great work - it is beautiful and speaks for itself.
    Cheers,
    Michael
