    Default Omega Nebula (M17)

A break in the clouds afforded a shot at M17. This the most light-polluted part of the sky for me (tracks over the commercial/downtown part with strip malls, car dealerships, interstate highway, and more). Thankfully the targets in the area are pretty bright.

Used EOS Utility (instead of Nebulosity) to capture because I like the much faster download time of CR2 files than FITS files (allows much quicker QA checks on captured subs). The original stack came out VERY cyan/green in color, so had to use a red overlay mask in Photoshop to get the more "natural" red tint.

    Fuzz--

When I grow up I want to be just like you.

Is it possible for you to upload the unprocessed image stack somewhere? It would certainly be great practice for me and others.

    Thanks!

Thanks all. I'd actually forgotten I had these subs from that night. Just remembered today and processed them.
