Default More Mac OSX Software & Apps?

    Reader,

So I have Celestia (quite enjoying it) and Stellarium (it's okay), but I was wondering if any fellow Mac users knew of any other software for the Mac (OSX). I did a search on Google, but it mostly pulls up Windows software and small apps. Free or paid it doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

    Live Long & Prosper!
    v/Respectfully,
    Keven

    What kind of applications?

Aside from those you've noted, there are:

    - Nebulosity (AP image processing)
    - Aperture Photometry Tool (photometry)
    - AstroStack (AP image processing)
    - Cartes du Ciel (planetarium)
    - SAOImage DS9 (image/database librarian)
    - Spitzer-pride (Spizter Space Telescope data handler/librarian)
    - Starry Night (various versions, planetarium software)
    - Virtual Moon Atlas (Atlun, Lunar Atlas)

There are also hundreds of others, some available as native OS X applications, others are Linux/Unix/Mach with command line interfaces and/or script wrappers.
    CGEM 800 HD, NexGuide,

SkySafari is a good one. Runs on the iPhone and OSX as well, albeit different versions. Like Stellarium but with excellent information on many of the objects including scientific, historical and mythological.
