    I was using it for about a week, then all of a sudden it kept locking up my phone ( Sprint Evo Shift). I really liked the app and am a little sad that I had to delete it off my phone. I am sure it had something to do with the way I have my phone set up, but I ultimately decided to erase the program.

    @roverich
    Yes it is free!

    @bmd1555
    I have no idea why it would lock up your phone. If you have installed a lot of apps lately, my guess is that there might be some other app which is playing foul. Try the app called "Advanced Task Killer" to get an idea of which apps are running in the background and kill them if suspicious.

    I have been wanting to do this too. I have a 8" OTA and I believe to use this correctly one needs to prop the phone up and use it like the camera lens is what is looking out to the stars. this means mounting edgewise to the tube. this is the tough part. perhaps the photo fora have found/developed a holster that gives you a sticky (rubberized) channel like deal to hold the long side. I get the feeling that the mother of invention will have this solved soon.

    Not at all, Jack. You can attach the phone in any way you like to the OTA. The angle and orientation of the phone don't matter as the alignment procedure takes care of compensating for it.

    I finally got this working properly. My Galaxy S had a hell of a time getting a GPS lock. Eventually I had to go into some sooper-secret test menu and monkey around with some settings to get the thing to lock to a single satellite. Our local astro group is having a public day in a couple weeks though, so it might be a great time to show it off and test it out.
