    Default Astronomy Calculators V1

    Hello everyone,

I recently made a suite of calculators I thought would be useful for amateur astronomers. The current release includes the following calculators:

    - Magnification
    - Max/min useful magnifications
    - F/Number
    - Limiting magnitude (approximation)
    - True field of view
    - Dawes limit
    - Exit pupil
    - Light grasp
    - Lunar feature resolution
    - Absolute magnitude
    - Distance converter (lightyears/parsecs)
    - Orbital period

The release is downloaded as a setup installer, but the installer will not edit your system's inner workings at all - it just extracts the files and creates a few shortcuts. If you find any errors or have any suggestions, I would like to hear!

They are available for download at:

    http://gkastro.a60.us/Astrocalcsetup.exe

...or from the 'Programs' section of my website at:

    gkastro.tk

    Thanks. Here are some screens:

Looks pretty cool. Once you are finished with it, you should upload it to the download section of the forum. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments everyone, and thanks for the scan, Jaycee. This program will also be included with the February 2011 issue of Sky at Night magazine, for anyone who receives it.
