    Default Stellarium Crashing

I've been using Stellarium 10.5 on my MacBook running OS 10.6.4 and suddenly it's getting all wonky on me. I wanted to use it last night in "Night Mode" for the muted red display but every time I clicked on the button the program crashed. I used this feature a few weeks ago with no issues. What's going on here?

    Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear about the problems!

I don't have a Mac so can't really help much from that end. However I have found that sometimes doing an uninstall and re-install works with PC's.

Maybe unrelated to helping with your problem, but OS 10.6.5 is a fairly large update that might address some problems if not that one?

This is a video card- driver issue probably. Try running Stellarium using the NO OPEN GL2 icon in the program folder.

Reported the bug to Stellarium and they got back to me very quickly. It was a known bug which will be fixed in the next upgrade. If you're having this problem, click off the "load oculars on start up" option. Re-start Stellarium, all back to normal.

Thanks for the suggestion Joe, your post came in while I was writing this one.
