Default Some Herschel Galaxies in Ursa Major

Well, I just passed 160 on my Herschel list . . . whew! Anyway, here are some ok sketches of some of the galaxies I've viewed lately. All sketches done by hand at the scope and GIMP was used to enhance them digitally.

NGC 3992 or M109 as some may know it. I have a question on this. I put down that the bars were evident (the night was perfect, transparency a 5/5, a I on the Antoniadi scale; Sirius only had a slight, barely viewed twinkle and at zenith, no star even came close). Reflecting on it I don't think the bars would be evident and I probably saw the hint of mottling or arms near the central core. Input here would be appreciated.

NGC 3982, beautiful in photos but here its more like can you see the galaxy (and I tried to reflect that in the sketch)?

NGC 3998 a fun galaxy to go after and practice averted vision, breathing and other items to squeeze out some details.

    NGC 3556 or M108

Plenty of others at my blog. I tried making them images here but I guess at 640x640 that is too big so I just linked to my Photobucket account. Clear skies to you cause mine aren't and its new moon week!
