    Default M31 and M45

Two sketches I did early this morning of M31 and M45. My brother was out with me and gave the idea to use my scope lens cap to draw a perfect circle on the paper which is why one looks a lot nicer than the other haha.

Very nice sketches! I particularly like the M45 sketch, the individual stars are well situated, this is quite difficult, as a matter of fact the most difficult part of sketching open clusters. Congrats on it!

Ahhh, your brother is still out with you there?

Hi Kenneth. A very nice pair of sketches from you. A nice Andromeda Galaxy, with very good spiral arm detail. And, M45 is my favorite sky DSO. As John mentioned it is hard to align the stars correctly in an open cluster, but you did fine work here too. Thanks for sharing these sketches with us on here Kenneth, and keep up the great work.
