    Default First attempt at this

Had a productive night I out I think. I'm not completely sure if what I've sketched out are the objects I wrote, but they seemed like the closest things to where I was looking. This is also from a location with a bit of light pollution with a set of 10x50 binoculars so don't be too harsh. I also am not very artistic lol.

These a very nice sketches of your observations Kenneth.
    Well done.
They are great notes in themselves.
I was observing these very targets tonight with 8x43 binos.

It is quite amazing how much we can see with binoculars.
I like these very much. :-)

Ken, good job with the sketches. They are fun to look back on to bring back the memories.

Well done on your first sketches, they look great!

Sketching is a great way to relax at the scope/binoculars and forces you to pick out the finer details as you sketch.
Congratulations on some fine sketching work, looking forward to many more from you!

You put a lot more effort into it than I do. My sketches are typically 6-20 different sized black dots in my log book with maybe some fuzzy squiggles. Nice to review though - good jog to the memory.

Thanks everyone! This was a little more difficult than expected with my current setup. Only two hands so I was literally juggling the binoculars, the pencil, and the flashlight so I could see. I'll be glad when I can swap over to the scope for this but I still need to learn my way around the sky better before I get that back out. One thing I definitely need is a clip on light. Does anyone know where I can order one of those? Having a hard time tracking one down with red leds.

Get something similar to the link below. You find them with red lights and that is what I use when sketching.

Very nice sketeches, Kenneth. I like them. Hope you keep this up; having a scope rather than binoculars will be easier.

Please continue to post your work!
