    Default Falcons Southern 40

Hi all, with the Southern sky at this time of the year giving me such a choice what better time to start.
Started with 2360 in Canis Major a bright open cluster and 2362 a compact but very bright glob.
NGC 2477 in Puppis although quite dull visually when first found. As time went by and the eyes gathered more detail it was an enjoyable sketch.
2516 in Carina, what else can I say. It's bright!
    Well, that's my start.

    Cheers
    Wayne.

Great sketches Wayne! Do you sketch white on black paper or do the reverse and invert the images? Also I would really like to know what medium you used because you really captured the stars quite nicely. Thanks!

G'day Craig, combination of white pencil and soft pastels on black. Pencil is used to put down the main or brighter stars. Pastels are used for the background
to try and give some depth to the drawing. As for inverting I just put down what I'm seeing through the Dob.
