Default now comes the good part

    I did three sketches last weekend early one morning: M3 / M5 / M68

All three are fairly bright global clusters (and would have been brighter, I'm sure, if I was working from a dark site instead of the city).

So, these are my first three for the Messier 80 Sketches:

    Clears,
    Joe

PS I decided to title this "Now comes the good part" since I have a better feel for how to do it this time around. You know, less effort and more fun!

Default a few more sketches for the Messier 80

I tried M64 several nights always hoping I'd catch a brighter glimpse, but the best I could get was a very fuzzy, nondescript, dim ball of light. Anyway, here's my latest sketches:

Just for the record, here's a list of the first 40 Messier objects I did in the first round of sketching:

    M1 / M4 / M7 / M15 / M22
    M28 / M29 / M31 / M33 / M34
    M35 / M36 / M37 / M38 / M39
    M40 / M41 / M42 / M43 / M44
    M45 / M46 / M47 / M48 / M50
    M51 / M56 / M65 / M66 / M67
    M77 / M78 / M79 / M80 / M93
    M94 / M95 / M96 / M103 / M105

So far, I've done the following sketches of Messier objects for the second round of sketching:

    M3 / M5 / M9 / M10 / M12
    M53 / M64 / M68

    Clears,
    Joe

Nice sketches BoA. I guess I'll probably have to start trying to sketch more often. I suck at drawing anything though. Oh well, it should be fun even if you cant tell what it is. Yours looks great!

    M3 / M5 / M6 / M9 / M10

    M12 / M13 / M49 / M53 / M64

    M63 / M68 / M107

    Default M14 / m19 / m57 / m62

I had some nice clear skies one morning early this week and took advantage. Plus I was able to get out of the city by a few miles to some slightly darker skies.

At least when I saw it, M14 was rather dim. It was my first time seeing this Messier object. M57 seemed brighter than I remember from previous views of it. Anyway, here are my latest sketches:
