Default My Spring Sketches So Far

I thought I get these sketches posted to get some comments and suggestions. I do notice that in some the stars aren't located where they appear in photos of the same target. What am I doing wrong?

Wow Greg, those are really nice! I would like to learn about the method you use to sketch and process them, as they look very realistic to me with the black background and grey/white stars, galaxies, and nebulae. Are there instructions about this method available anywhere on the Internet, or can you recommend a good book on the subject? Thanks!

There are several Internet sites that give tips on sketching. Youtube has some videos. Astronomy Magazine's web page has some videos. Anytime I look at another person's sketches they also help me to do a better job.

If you are looking for a book, I found the following one the most helpful for me, personally:

"Astronomical Sketching: A Step-by-Step Introduction" by Richard Handy, David B. Moody, Jeremy Perez, Erika Rix, and Sol Robbins.

At the end of the book are three pages of helpful Internet links, including the authors' own link http://www.astronomicalsketching.com
