    Default 17 March 2019

The sky finally saw fit to clear for a few hours!

Due to a combination of forum image upload issues and the power cuts or "Load Shedding" as it is known here in SA this report has been easier to host on my blog and post the link here.
Once the forums and our power situation returns to normal then I will post the full reports here.

    17 March 2019.

Many thanks Terry! As you have seen, this area of sky abounds with clusters and I always return to them, it's a drug I tell ya!

Thanks for the report Clinton, nice blog!

I upgraded my UPS more than a year ago with 4 26Ah 12V batteries so I now have 26Ah @ 48V, it runs 3 computers for longer than 2 hours which is the normal load shedding duration. So now when load shedding takes place I usually find myself at the computer if viewing conditions are not good. The upside of load shedding is darker skies!

Nice report. Sounds like a long deserved good night out.

I looked around your blog, those galaxy sketches are incredibly detailed. Great work. Must have taken multiple nights at the scope?
