    Default Announcing messier awards changes

New changes to the Visual, Sketch and Photo Messier awards have been made for 2018.

Members participating in the awards will no longer be required to enter their observations, sketches or image details into the Wiki.
We would however like to encourage our members to please make the entries into the Wiki, in so doing you will have a permanent record of your observations, sketches and images.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all that do participate in the Messier awards here at AF.net.
It's a great way for the newcomers to learn the ropes and cut their stargazing, sketching or imaging teeth on a worthwhile project and it should be fun for the more experienced hands to revisit old friends.

We look forward to seeing your submissions and handing out some well deserved bling!
You will also receive a printable certificate to proudly frame and display so get stuck in!

The new rules have been amended and are to be found here:

    1) Visual : Astronomy Certificate Visual Awards Program Apply Now!!!

    2) Sketch : Messier Sketch Awards & Badge Program!! Apply Now

    3) Imaging : Astrophotography Contests Messier & Southern Sky Photo Challenges & Awards Apply Now!

The AF.net moderation team wishes you clear skies and happy Messier hunting!
