I had a great night observing too, and watching the Perseids. One was a large flaming meteor that was colored orange and left an afterimage in the skies as it headed from East to West. Caught a glimpse of M57, M56 and the Double Cluster (NGC 869 and 884) in Perseus. It was beautiful. Another Perseid made it across the field-of-view of my eyepiece as I scanned near the zenith for M57. What a great night! I saw eight meteors, considerably less than you Orion Xt10!

Most of it had to do with my dark site which is a gray black zone. If i stayed around where i live its a yellow zone.
