    For anyone in UK

    Kielder Forest Spring 'Star-Camp'
    22nd - 26th April (Wed-Sun)
Darkest sky in England, at the Northern end of Kielder reservoir. The camp-site near Kielder castle.
Vendors on the Saturday, and talks/presentations on the Fri and Sat - at the castle.
Food at the castle during daytime (great breakfasts)
Good food and beer at the 'Angler's Arms' pub - daytime and evening.
Both within 5 mins walk of the camp-site
Great astro-cameraderie on the site - Red-light rules apply after nightfall - and a 'warm-room' at night, where you can make hot drinks, charge batteries, and escape inclement weather.
    http://www.richarddarn.demon.co.uk/starcamp/
The new Kielder Observatory is also nearby.
    http://www.kielderobservatory.org/

'Kielder' is the one I usually go to - but unfortunately can't make it to the Spring '09 event.

    Also...

    Kielder Forest Autumn 'Star-Camp'
    14th - 19th October (Wed - Mon)
As above but is a day longer, has larger capacity, and tends to attract more vendors.

    I'll be at this one

The Longway Planetarium in Flint, MI will be hosting a Star Party this Saturday.
The following is a posting on Michigan Astronomy Group:
    Star Party

    http://www.longwayplanetarium.com/

    Hi Everyone,
Longway Planetarium is hosting a free Star Party Saturday evening, May 2.
If the skies cooperate, we will begin setting the telescopes up about 7:30. The public is invited to start showing up at sunset.
The April 4 star party was a great success with about 10 telescopes and about 65 people attending.
If you need additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus is about 10 miles outside of Crowell, Texas and host 2 star parties a month. Check out their website at Three Rivers Foundation Home . There are several great telescopes in observatories and usually lots of amateur astronomers with their personal kits there and all are happy to share views of the skies and knowledge of the sky. If you're in the neighborhood drop in and enjoy.
