Brief report on the June 21 star party... The solar viewing from 11 am to 3 pm had 33 adults and 18 children who enjoyed 4 sunspots, a huge Jupiter sized full-arch prominence and many smaller ones. The evening viewing beginning at 9 pm had 165 adults and 63 children. These numbers are small for us. A good time was had by all.

Here's an update on the June 28th star party... For the solar viewing from 11 am to 3 pm, we had 47 adults and 33 children. There were two prominent sunspots and some interesting prominences. Seeing was excellent with granularity clearly visible. For the evening star party, we had 112 adults and 61 children. Seeing remained excellent. Talks were given on Saturn and its moons. The 8" refractor focused on viewing Saturn and Mars. The 24" reflector, 14" SCT and docents' scopes concentrated on DSOs. Great night!
