Thumbs up LSST (Large Synoptic Survey Telescope)

For those of you who haven't heard of this yet, or who might be interested in reading about it in a little more depth, here is a great link:

Briefly, this promises to be the most astonishing telescope ever built--with the possible exception of Hubble. Its ability to image the entire sky, once every 3 nights, down to a magnitude of 24, will make it one of the busiest and most useful telescopes on earth.
