| I'm trying to set up some long-exposure photos of satellite tracks... multiple satellites crossing through a familiar constellation, that sort of thing. Starry Night is great for letting me observe an area of the sky at a fast time-rate to see when dramatic passes will occur, but... While the track and time data for these satellite passes is dead on, the magnitude data is always way off... by a few units. I have double-checked that my location and time settings are accurate, and the comet / asteroid / satellite data is up to date. So, what's the deal? Any suggestions or ideas would be great, thanks! I know I can use Heavens Above to double check the magnitudes, but it would be way more convenient to have it all in the software. Joe |
